I have always been creative, from a very young age drawing the ‘tall ships’ as they raced from Newcastle Quay Side. Art was always my preferred subject at school and indeed something I was good at. On leaving school, I decided to study further, to enhance my existing skills as a creative. I studied for three years up to a diploma level in Art and Design, whilst studying GCSE Graphics as a side line. When I left college in 2005 I had already found myself working in the hospitality sector where I worked for many vibrant companies such as Butlins. Alas, my creativity was temporarily shelved during this time.
Since moving to Hastings, almost four years ago, I have been my most creatively active. Surrounded by budding artists and musicians, not to mention the varied architecture has been a true inspiration to me. Helping me develop my confidence as an artist and to allow me to express myself as the person I am.
Over the last two years, I have had several exhibitions through a local art group named Zoom Arts of which I was a member of for three years. My ‘style’ has definitely developed an architectural look. My passion is (and always has been) in architecture. Whenever I visit a new city I never forget to look up as there is always beauty scraping our skies.
